It’s so hard to narrow down my list of top 10 favorite films but I’m going to try. All of these films are ones that I can replay and watch over and over (and over) again and you better believe that I’ve imagined myself being a part of everyone one of these films. Some of them have inspired trips to beautiful destinations, while others have inspired me to redecorate or change my personal style. Hope these films inspire you.
- The Ghost and Mrs. Muir
- Enchanted April
- The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
- It Started in Naples
- Under the Tuscan Sun
- Only You
- Les Parapluies de Cherbourg
- Roman Holiday
- While You Were Sleeping
Are you in one? I’ve suddenly found myself in two book clubs! I love reading so it’s not a bad thing only this month both book clubs are meeting in the same week. Quickly I’ve got to read Wild by Cheryl Strayed and Jane’s Melody by Ryan Winfield.
What are you currently reading? Interested in an online book club?
Were you watching TCM this weekend? Did you happen to see My Fair Lady? Every time I watch the scene at the Embassy Ball, for some reason I hold my breath. Guess that’s where the term “breathtaking” comes from! It’s a magical moment when Miss Doolittle delicately waltzes across the dance floor in that gorgeous gown.
Is there a costume in MFL that you don’t love?
Did you know that Cecil Beaton was the designer behind the incredible costumes in My Fair Lady and he won an Academy Award for his work? (Why do I always think that Edith Head designed costume that I’m in love with from that era?) He also designed costumes for On a Clear Day I Can See Forever and Gigi. Beautiful, beautiful costuming.
Primarily Fruition performs in the PNW (Pacific Northwest) but they’re coming to Atlanta! We can’t wait to have them here in our hometown!!! Tickets are available on the Terminal West site.
